FAQ

What is Trinket Club?

Trinket Club is a monthly club over on my Patreon where members get a new trinket every month! It's generally cheaper than my shop (shipping is included), supporters get trinkets a month before my shop does, and they also get access to discount codes!

There are two tiers with limited slots. For $10, you'll get 1 monthly trinket, and for $13 you'll get 1 trinket and 1 mini-trinket.

New slots tend to open up at the start of each month as people leave when the themes change, so keep an eye out if you'd like to join!

Can we Request Trinket Themes?

Every other month I tend to open up commissions. Feel free to contact me through Twitter DMs (@Fizztapp), Patreon messages, or email [email protected] if interested!

I've done characters like Wreck it Ralph and Candyman (from Lethal League) before, but I'd love to do some original characters too.

How do you make your trinkets?

Hardware wise, I 3D print my trinkets with an Elegoo Mars resin printer! Resin printing allows me to get way more detail into these small figures that I wouldn't be able to get with standard filament printers.

Resin printing is messier, more dangerous, and more expensive, but the results really speak for themselves!

I also have an Anycubic wash & cure machine, though I really only use the cure setting. I wash my prints by hand in a small container with isopropyl alcohol using a brush, so I can make sure all the resin is cleaned off.

Software wise, I make my models and renders for stickers in Maya. To make the digital models 3D print ready, I run them through a program called Meshmixer and then add supports so they print properly in a program called Chitubox.

General 3D printing recommendations:

My Elegoo printers are super old 2020 models, but they've been good to me and are still going strong. I've had to replace the LCD screen a few times for general matinence purposes, and have a full bag filled with failed prints, but I've finally hit my stride :)

If you're up for a little bit of troubleshooting and DIY (which you'll need to be if you want to get into 3D printing at all to be honest), I highly recommend picking up an old refurbished model. They can be cheap!

If you're looking to get a brand new printer, I don't think any specific brand stands out above the rest. We're in an era of 3D printing where it's finally affordable for the public, and everything on the market gets the job done.
